Hi
I have a Pentium 3 box which I want to make into a smoothwall firewall device ( It has onboard networking and I will be installing 2 additional network cards, one for the trusted LAN zone and one for the DMZ.
The two cards I have to hand do not have any indication of the MAC address on them.
I know I can install the cards onto my xp machine and use ipconfig, but is there any way I can find out the MAC address without having to fiddle with an existing box or install an operating system onto the P3 box.
I created a boot floppy and copied ipconfig.exe onto it, but it appears you cannot run ipconfig in dos.
Can anyone suggest a method/utility I could try?
Thanks
