Determine if ASP Page is called by Robot

I want to determine if a page is being called by a robot or a user clicking through our site. I know there is a way to do this because I have heard or people doing this; however, I need some help.

Thank you for your response. How do I know if it is a known bot? Is there somewhere to get a list or do I have to compile it myself?

Did you try this:

Request.ServerVariables("HTTP_REFERER")

-DNG

HTTP_REFERER will have the URL from where a link was clicked (if passed). It is a no use whatsoever in identifying the user agent
