Is it safe to assume that when looking at announcements from VAM or ASA 6.0, that if the announcement does not have an extension it is not currently in use by the system?

I want my CS manager to clean up some announcements and I want to be sure that if they identify announcements as no longer needed, that it is safe to delete files that do not show an extension associated.

These are announcements that show up in VAM and in "list directory board xxx /annc", but not in "list announcements"

If a announcement doesnt have an extension how could you route a call to it and have it play? I feel confident saying it is not in use.
