In Access 2000, how can I determine the Field Size of a field.
i.e if a fields data type is numeric, I need to know if the field size is single or double or long etc

Thanks

Have a look at the Type property of the DAO.Field object.

Hope This Helps, PH.

That works great.
The type property returns a value. Where can I get a list that shows the description of the returned value, i.e. 2 = byte

Use the Object Browser (F2) to find the enum DataTypeEnum
