Hello My Friends Again !.
How are you since our last time in the forum?. I hope ok.

Well, I need someone to put me in the right direction about this. I work with D2 and I need to know whether a certain hardware is plugged or not to the PC at the checking time, the hardware I mean could be the mouse, the keyboard, the headphone for example. I have no idea where to start. I'll appreciate your help very much. I was thinking to send some data to the ports of those devices and expect for the response, if this proccess consumes more than a limiting time, the device is not connected, is it right? Could Delphi 2.0 do this task ?.

The best way to start a very general query like this is to use Google. I entered
detecting presence of mouse in delphi
and the first item returned seemed relevant. I think Delphi 2 can probably handle this okay but I suggest it is time you upgraded to the latest version.
