Detecting Maxtor One-Touch button press in Delphi

Hi,

I have 3 Maxtor One-Touch (TM?!) drives connected to my system via a combination of USB 2 and Firewire. What i'd like to be able to do is write a small utility that does a "Safe Drive Removal" (for when Win XP has write-caching enabled) for the drive that I press the button for... So I can press the button, and know it is safe to unplug the device.

Does anyone have any idea how I would go about either picking up on the button press from within Delphi, or knowing how to do a "Safe Drive Removal" for a specified drive within Delphi?
