Is there a way I can detect if a query was submitted locally or remote to the server?

Reason I ask is that I have a bunch of macro's that are used by various people. At the moment they have to run these locally as the libnames are different for remote submission.

Cheers

I don't think it's easy, I would recommend talking to the admins of the server, they might be able to tell you where processes originated from. I think just looking at them, there would be no real difference between a SAS process spawned locally, or a SAS session spawned locally by a remote machine...

As a suggestion, why not change the libnames of the declared libraries so that they are the same wherever you submit from?

Chris, it's due to the mapped drives being different and this will be used by about 100 people so remapping isn't really an option unfortunately.

Thanks anyway, I thought it would be a long shot!
