I travel a lot and use hotel wifi to connect to the Internet. One of the problem that I experience is sending e-mail because my SMTP server is incorrect. I can use webmail to get ariound this but then I do not have a copy in my outbox.
Is there a method to obtain the SMTP server address of the network that I am connected to? Is there a global address I could use?

There may not be a smtp server on the network you're connected to. Even if there is, they shouldn't be allowing anyone to just arbitrarily relay through it (think unrestricted SPAM). Is there a reason that you're trying to use a different SMTP server? Does your ISP not allow access to your normal server if you're not connected to their network or something?

My ISP does not allow access unless I am connected to them
