Detect image size... 1

Hi there!

I have a need to display some images in an application. These images can be either landsape or portrait, BUT the longest side is always fixed at 500 pixels.

So that I can change my form accordingly, is there a way to detect the orientation by detecting the longest side before the image is displayed?

I use an activex component to manipulate images, as it makes it pretty easy to detmine the size etc.

It is called imaageviewer from viscomsoft

Works really well for me.

Hi Neil,

This is easy. Just do this:

loPict = LOADPICTURE("c:\somewhere\myimage.jpg")

Then look at loPict.Height and loPict.Width and deduce from the orientation.
