Is there a way in cgi to detect if a browser is still loading? I am implementing a search tool and it takes qutie a while to show the results, and I am trying to display a animated gif while the page is still loading (while status bar in IE is still moving), but hide it once the page completes its loading.

Have anyone done something similar before?
Thanks :)

Ahh
This may be easier to do with client side Javascript with the onLoad event it seems ....

:)

Yep, perl has pretty much no clue whats happening in the browser, thats javascripts territory.
