Detect Flash Plugin?

I want to incorporate a small flash header at the top of my web page, but in the case that someone doesn't have the flash plugin, I'd like to have a static image appear. Is there a script/way to detect if the user has the flash plugin and if so, display the flash movie and if not, display a static image?
