I have a crystal report with 14 sub reports that has been working fine for months. Suddenly it is reporting on all sections and then rereporting all sections. So it prints details a through o and then attaches a second copy of details a through o again. They are both showing the same data. I would appreciate any help.
Thanks

This sounds like the report might be corrupt. In design mode, do you see any changes? Where are the subreports located? Are they each in their own detail section? How is the container report set up? Is it possible the container report has changed to result in two records instead of just one?

I cringe at the thought of having to rebuild this report, but no I don't see any changes in it. The subreports are each in their own details section. I have tried moving the container report into the top details section and then suppressing it. I have tried suppressing the last sub report. I have tried changing any setting that seemed even remotely possible to create this effect. However, since there was no change made to the report, that I know of or can find, I have a feeling this is just one more symptom of my old out dated version of Crystal Reports on an antiquated SQL Server 2000. I have sent out a few emails requesting advice, if anyone comes up with the answer I will post it. In the mean time Thanks for the help.

You can't MOVE The container report to another section, since the container IS the report that contains all subs. Did you check to see if the links or selection criteria for the container report are causing two detail records? Maybe check the SQL query (database->show SQL query) to see if there is a broken link that is causing two separate queries.

I highlighted the container reports fields and titles and just dragged them into the details a section. I also checked all the links and double checked the stored procedure on the sql side, alas, to no avail. Thanks

The Answer:
If your container report gives more then one line every sub-report in the details section will print once for each line. I have moved all the sub-reports into the report footer section and voila, no more repeating sub-reports.
