The violet slate pair are the auxillary pair on the compact cabinet. The closure is supposed to be a dry closure. I am using a viking lb-2 and trying light up a
12v lamp; I am wondering if anyone can explain EXACTLY
how the dry closure works on the system....any help????

The V/S pair is actually the page out port.
What you need is the pair above, the violet/brown pair.
It is just a pair of contacts that are normally open and close during paging. They are not designed to put much current through. I sometimes use them to switch another relay for lights etc.

Marv01,

I got your message, I need to go test the pair with a volt meter. I HAVEN"T DONE THAT YET! :( Also are we talking on the station side or CO side? The book says station side for auxillary ringer..I was looking at the chart while I wrote this message...Guess what!?! I have been using the wrong PAIR...I just switched them the light works...The Station side ha the pair for auxillary ringer...the CO for external paging....OOOPS....lol

Thanks- GBS
