Developing report for Purchase Req system. As an example, req #1 has 2 detail line items, and 5 comment lines that are independent of the detail lines.
Want to print the 2 req detail lines together, then the comment lines after, either in a seperate detail section or in the footer.
Currently, the output looks like;
detail #1
comment #1
detail #2
comment #2
comment #3
comment #4
comment #5

Want it to look like;
detail #1
detail #2

comment #1
thru
comment #5

There is 1 req header record per requisition, the detail & comment records are currently linked to the header with an equal join.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Please specify what tables you have.
Are they: Header, Detail, Comment?

If so, you SHOULDN'T join the header to both
detail and comments because you would get
a combinatorial explosion of records.

In that case, a simple solution would be to use
a subreport to present all comments for a given header.

Cheers,
- Ido
