No matter how I tweak the font and field sizes, the detail and page footer, I cannot get the records to print closer together. There remains a 2/8th inch gap.

This is unceptable!

Based on a large table of records this creates more pages than should be required.

Any ideas?

Thanks . . . Rick

When you view your report in design view, is there any space above/below the control(s)?

No, but I think I have removed, reduced in size, etc. enough to get by and shorten the number of pages.

Here is what I'm now trying to place in a group footer of my report;

=Average(Scmls.SalePrice)
=Count(Scmls.ListOffice)

I have sum already.

Any ideas Eupher . . .?

Rick

Okay I figuered these out also.

Now I need to prevent the group footer fields from being cut off at the end of a page, or, more presicely, prevented from being printed at the top of the next page where the records are at the bottom of the preceding page.

Any ideas? Will a page break do in the footer band?

Thanks much . . . Rick

You might play with the Keep Together property of Sorting and Grouping.
