I have a report (about 2 pages long) that prints in a spreadsheet type format and single line spacing. Here's my issue....The users would like the ability to add notes to applicable line items.

If I change the height of the detail section, my report goes to 4 pages to accomadate maybe 3 or 4 notes that might of been added.

Is there a way to get this work so the spacing changes only when there's a note related to a given line item? Otherwise if there isn't a note, then continue with the single line spacing.

I tried the On Print feature but your not allowed to change the height of the detail section once it started printing.

Thanks....Toga

If you can, place the memo field in the same row as the other fields in your detail section. Then, change the control's "Can Grow", "Can Shrink" properties to yes.

If there's not enough room, place the control on the next line and make the height property zero. Set the other properties as above.
