Using Wise Installer 3.
I need to create a new directory in the root of the hard drive on the destination computer (ie, c:\newname).
For some reason, I used to be able to do this, no problem.
Now Wise insists on making it c:\Program Files\newname, cannot find a workaround.
I have no idea what's going on with this behavior.
Any help?????

Hi
Use the RootDrive Property.
By setting the rootdrive to c:\ you can copy files to the root.
As an example try and use setup capture and notice how its recorded.

Sorry, I'm still at a loss. I don't see any reference to rootdrive in the help files. I ran capture on one of my apps that installs successfully into the root, but it didn't reveal anything that I could percieve - I ended up in the same spot as before, the sucker wants to go into Program Files instead of the root.

Sorry for delay

Copy the file over to some bogus directory. On the files page drag the file from your directory to to "Destination Computer"-root.
