I'm trying to change the absorb length to 1.
The system will only allow me to set the absorb length to all or 00 if I use 9. Is there another way to use 9 and get my absorb length to 1?

Set it to all. The absorb length only refers to the destination code, so in your case all = 1.

When entering 9 as your destination code press any and then you can set it as 1.....
