Desperately needed your help in AD installation!

Dear Friends,
i had managed to install win2000 server in a different logical drive partition with WinNt4.0 on primary partition.when i tried to install AD, it's failing in the final step throughing an error message "The network location can not be reached.for more info about network trouble shooting, see win help".i really don't know what to do and desperately need someone's help. i appreciate your help.

Well i'd start by making sure you have DNS installed, and that the server is pointing to itself for DNS resolution.

check you dns before start DCPROMO.!

thanks for your reply.i had noticed that the NIC drivers were not installed with Win2000 server, but with WinNT4.0 the drivers were installed and working fine.My NIC card integrated to motherboard. i need some advise, is there any way i can get it working with Win2000 server?i appreciate your help.
