Recently upgraded to SCCS 5.0 and started to have issues with desktop users on the "thick" client. Several instances where desktop ids become locked out. I reset the password, re-enable the account but everytime the user tries to log in the error "can not connect to server" appears. However, unchecking and re-checking the password expiration button re-enables the account and removes the error. Why? Is this a new procedure with SCCS 5.0?

When you upgraded to 5.0, did you upgrade the fat clients? There are several patches out there that go with that upgrade.

Yes, we upgraded the clients with the proper PEPs 12, 15, 18. However, the issue seems to be independent of the actual desktop. It doesn't matter which desktop I use to launch that locked out account, the error is still the same.

Hi kd99

I had the same problem, few months ago... Just read this words from Nortel:

"I believe that you may need to do both in this case as the password has already expired and the account is locked.
When you untick the ¿password expiry¿ box you set a variable field used in the Server application `PCLockout¿ from 0 to
10000 (Hex). However another variable in the Symposium program regarding the user status (PCUserStatus) still locks
the account as the password already expired.
Therefore, you need to untick the box and reset the password.
