I have this problem on two computers, One has Vista and Access 2007 and the other is XP Pro and Access 2007. I have a desktop icon which points to the Server drive and a database there. It has been working on XP Pro and Acc 2003 since its inception 2 years ago. The database is a 2003 database and anyone running Acc 2003 can open it just fine with the desktop icon., Which is "F:\Task Order\TimeSheets.mdb" On the two machines: If I create the icon from scratch or drag it from the F:\ drive, makes no difference it does not work. Is this another Access 2007 security thing?
If you open Access first in these two PC’s and then open the database it works Ok. Of course I had to tell Acc 2007 it’s OK to play nice with my databases in the Trust Center before it could do anything :(
Any Ideas?

By "Play nice with my databases" do you mean set up trusted paths to your F: mapped network drive for Access databases; this will affect your application whether running on XP or Vista.
