Hi there,

I used to connect to my windows xp machine at home from work using remote assistance utility. Before my computer was directly connected to the interner (dial up)

Now I have installed a router at home. Router is connected to the modem and 3 other pcs are directly connected to the router's available ports.

I set under TCP/IP (in Local Area Connection) to obtain ip automatically.

The problem is if I start a Remote assistance invitation from win xp prof it's not working. It's neither sending email properly nor sending the invitation to the online user in the messenger.

Is there any work arounds?? Pls help me

Thanks
Faheem

I think you'll need to put the machine you want to connect to in the router's DMZ.

Look in the router management for port forwarding or virtual server and port forward port 3389 to the internal machine.
