I am working with a school system that has 1st call email software. They want desktop messaging, is that possible. According to documentation its not, but our TAC group says it is. Any help would be appreciated.
If 1st call supports connections to IMAP based mailboxes, then yes, you should be able to use desktop messaging.
Just create a connection to a new IMAP server, use the CallPilot IP address or hostname as the mail server, the mailbox number as the userid, and the mailbox password as the password.
You can use this with exchange servers if you want to monitor multiple callpilot mailboxes as well.
