desktop messaging lotus notes view disappears

Lotusnotes 8.5.1 with call pilot desktop fax messaging problem.
the view in notes client just disappears... have to uninstall and reinstall. anyone ever use this and why does that keep happening..

the build i have is 5.004199 and is supposed to be ok...
install looks fine.. it runs a couple of days and then you click the view and its gone...
anyone have a back door way of doing this in notes without needing a my call pilot server ?
