I am having an issue in desktop messaging. When I try to compose a message thru the callpilot address book and I send it I get this error back.

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

Subject: test
Sent: 7/18/2008 1:12 PM

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

'Doe, Jon [4940:CALLPILOT]' on 7/18/2008 1:13 PM
SMTP failure. The CallPilot transport could not submit the message to the server (0).

I think I may be missing something in the configuration.

edkender...the person you are trying to send the message to
do they have desktop messaging in their class of service
in callpilot?

have you made changes to any of your network setting in
the callpilot server?and if so did you reboot the server?
that is required.

Yes I have. I will be rebooting next Wednesday night. So I guess I will find out then. We had a wrong fqdn along with no vpim prefix. SO I guess I will wait until next week. Thanks for your help I will keep you posted.

Actually I do have working. I think it may have taken some time to update since I changed those parameters. The next thing I would like to know is if I should get some mwi when I send it through outlook and from the address book.

i think after you reboot the callpilot server all things
should start working properly that why nortel suggest
a reboot after making changes to network settings.
