Desktop Messaging and Message Waiting Light

Inconsistently, we have had users whos Message Waiting Lights won't come on any longer. These users all use Desktop Messaging, but some others work fine and display in both places.

Any suggestions to have both work again?

Check reading payne in Outlook that the messages are not marked as read also do they have a toobar installed. I have had this happen when a monitoring program is in use too.

Do they have Google Desktop installed on those PCs???

Yes, I think the common thing is Google Desktop.

Google desktop is a known issue causing exactly what you describe.
