Windows allows very little choice as to location and size of desktop wallpaper, whereas Active Desktop Calendar has a feature whereby an image of one's choice and be 'deployed' in ANY location on a desktop, as a wallpaper/background. Does anyone know of a program that confines it self to THAT functionality ?

Active Desktop Calendar blends itself with the desktop wallpaper. Have a look at Sysinternals' BgInfo which lets you amend or write a new background bitmap, with or without embedded (blended) system info in one of 9 positions on screen. You can use the existing desktop wallpaper or set a standard bitmap for all users.

Hope this helps...

I have not bothered looking deeply into BigInfo as it does not seem to address my needs at all, whereas Overlap Wallpaper is s FREE program that does EXACTLY what I want - allows me to put multiple images simultaneously and permanently wherever I want on multiple monitors.

Hi Sebastian42,

You're right, Overlap Wallpaper looks much better than BgInfo and has had loads of reviews.

Thanks for replying back with the info.
