desktop icons

amateur needs help.....i manage a small office network and when i restart our windows server 2008 (updates) the desktop icons on our desktop computers are missing

when i restart the desktops the icons reappear but are out of order they were in before.........Thanks in advance.......Robert.

Probably a corrupt profile. If you make a new profile does it stick?
