When using a desktop icon to enter an application we are
being prompted for loginid and password even though we have
client set to pass logged on users credentials to terminal server. If the user opens program neighborhood and minimizes it then clicks on the desktop icon they log in to terminal server without being prompted for credentials. Is this normal?

Check that the file appsrv.ini on your client contains the line: UseLocalUserAndPassword=On

I assume that this is a published application, that you have set in Published Application Manager to create an icon on the desktop?

The user needs to make an initial login to the Farm to use any product over Citrix - does this issue occur for all applications, or just this one?

Are the users running any other applications via Citrix?
