Hi All,

does anyone how to get the old 'Show desktop' icon on the left hand side of the taskbar. That was nice, dont know why they changed it in windows 7!

You'll need 'quick launch' which has been hidden/removed from Win7. Link below explains how to achieve what you are after quicker than I can type it...

See the little "empty" box at the far right of the system tray? Just to the right of the system clock?

Try hovering your mouse/clicking there. Should do the same thing the old "show desktop" icon did.

You can also use Windows Key + D, or right-click on the Taskbar/ Toolbars/Desktop which will place another link on the Taskbar.

Thanks, mstrmage1768, I've been looking for the show desktop icon, myself. Now it's just a blank rectangle. Weird. But now that I know where it is, it works.
