Desktop icon to show VPN online

I run Server 2 K. Since I started active directory there is no icon on desktop to let me know that there are some outside clients online via VPN or RAS.
I cannot find anyplace to switch this on?

any ideas please/

I don't know if this will be much use to you but I use a utility called Winstation Monitor which I downloaded from the MS site.

This is just an icon on my TS server desktop and when I double click it it opens a window showing me any active connections.
