I have a report that executes in less than 1 second but takes almost 10 minutes to actually render the grid display on the Desktop. On top of that, I'm working in 3-tier mode, and I'm locked out of the Desktop while the report is rendering. 6,865 rows, 7 row attributes, 1 metric, and no column attributes, so the crosstab shouldn't be difficult. Below is the SQL. Anybody have any ideas as to why this occurs? Any solutions? Thanks.

J,
is the same report slow in web too? If not, it's probably a desktop issue.

My guess is that it is a slow network transfer issue, but it's just a guess.

Does it only happen on your machine or on all C/S Desktop installs?

It appears to only happen on my machine, and since I'm not fully on the client's network (not part of the domain), perhaps that is it. Thanks.

maybe you need to increase the size of your page file / virtual memory.
