Where can I find documentation on how the 3900 (3903) series phone and PBX needs to be programmed to facilitate Desktop Faxing? I've checked the Avaya website already, it sticks! Thank you.

It's done in the Call Pilot voicemail server primarily. You have to have Desktop Messaging and fax keycodes enabled for the user to start with. The phone itself doesn't require any programming. Depending on how you want the faxes to be directed to the Call Pilot is a factor, are they going to use a single number for phone and fax or seperate numbers?

The Call Pilot admin and install guides as well as the desktop messaging install guide have the gory details. It's a pretty straightfoward process from what I remember, been a few years though. If you are going to use the Call Pilot as an outbound fax server as well, make sure the agent ports have an NCOS that is high enough to dial out with.

Thank you. I wasn't sure about the phone set, if it needed another DID on it for faxing. I think I have all the rest configured properly, perhaps I need to check the NCOS? I'll give that a try. Thanks again.

I can get the faxes coming into his Lotus Notes mailbox, but I can't successfully send one from his mailbox? I can get it to go both ways in my Outlook mailbox? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
