Anyone know of a poormans app that I can use to connect an M2616 to the Desktop and use the computer to dial out from a database. Just looking for a couple of phones to do this.

The should be an MCA adapter for the 2616. I know I see it when I install the CTIA adapter for the 3900 series phones.

I can get an MCA or a MCU (which would be better) but don't I need some software to run with them?

It should come with the adapter. I know that the software for the 3900's shows both mca and ctia.

I did this a few yesrs ago on a 2616. What I used was
- MCA card and power supply option
- D9-D25 modem cable
- PC Drivers,"Symposium Desktop TAPI SP for MCA Ver2.0"
- CTI app, I bought Procall 2.1 single user

Procall is an add-in to MS Outlook, lots of features, allows the use of exchange server names and numbers.
Supports call transfer and call hold etc

Thanks NZTech I'll take a look and thank you to mlukie1.
