Desktop(Create Shortcut) , doesn't appear in Send To Menu

My SendTo Menu does NOT have a " Desktop(Create Shortcut) " option ,(only a " Desktop " option) even though inside the respective folder(C:/Docs & Settings/user xxx/sendTo) it is a reference for it....
Please help for reinstalling this " default option " of the SendTo Menu , and once again the option " Desktop(Create Shorcut) " , appears in " Send To " Menu......

You could try deleting all references to Desktop in your SendTo folder. Then as an Administrator search your machine for the file "Desktop (create shortcut)" and copy and paste one of the found versions into your SendTo folder.

If that doesn't work perhaps you could try running the System File Checker program from the Start Run Box by typing.....Sfc /Scannow in it and have your XP CD handy.

If this was a very recent occurrence even System Restore might help?
