Deskjet F4180 color is faded.

I have a new HP Deskjet F4180, All-in-one printer with a new color cartridge that produces pictures that are faded or not saturated. The color profile is RGB but I read that I should try CMYK but don't know where to get it from. Any ideas what to do?
