Have to reset the admin password for an hp 6940. Previous IT person left without providing it. Tried the factory reset - report button + cancel x 3, turn off for 3min (per hp cust service). Cleared everything but the admin pw. HP was no help. Any ideas???? - Thanks

If networked, use WebJetAdmin or open browser to the IP#
You will be able to make changes there.

Thanks for replying. Tried opening a browser to the IP. On clicking the network tab I'm asked for the admin password which we don't know. Trying the Security / Authorization link brings up the same login dialog. I looked at Web JetAdmin and would rather not install it if I don't have to but will if that's the only answer.
