Prints test page (including text) and pictures ok. When using word or notepad prints only 1/4 of each letter or number. My other printer a Laserjet 4p prints the same text fine ! This is blowing me away have tried various drivers all with the same result ...any ideas would be helpful. thanks the old man

Have you checked the printer configuration ?? ie' the printer config matches the pc driver ?
Another thing to check in word is page setup and print preview.
