I heard that IP Office integration with MS-CRM is going to be discontinued for MS-CRM 4.0, is that true?

What happen with clients current using it desiring to upgrade MS-CRM 4.0, they throw out the license in the bin? Spend more money with the DevConnect partner to get this feature back?

Sounds like, taking the candy from the baby.

Cheers,
Dario

I have not heard that it will be discontinued but it will not work with the current integration software. Microsoft has changed the way this works in CRM 4.0.

I mean heck Titan has only been out since what January and people expect that Avaya was going to churn away at a integration component for the relase date? They didn't even support Windows 2003 until 2005. It's 2008 and we don't support SQL 2005. I'm amazed that Windows 2008 will be supported on 4.2!

Kholladay, I am not sure if you are saying that it is realistic or not.

Titan (Dynamics CRM 4.0) was released to manufacturing December 2007. This does not mean that it was not available before that point for companies to develop their software for. Yes it wasn't the final version.

Now technically from the Avaya point there was no agreement between you and Avaya that they would continue to upgrade their software to work with every version that they create.

You paid for a license to work with Microsoft CRM (either 1.2 or 3.0).

BTW I do have CRM license and CRM 3.0 and do hope they create an integration.

I'm certainly not saying they will not. I'm simply saying that based on their track record I wouldn't expect it anytime soon. But again as I said I wouldn't have expected 2008 support this year either but we'll have it.
