Deregistration of DNS Record

I'm not a big Windows 2000 person and having a problem with my event viewer filling up. Hopefully someone can help!

I get the error:

Deregistration of DSN ....failed with the following error: DNS Server unable to interpret format.

We have a small domain with about 50 users. Windows 2000 server with all but one computer using Windows 2000 - other is Windows XP.

What Event ID # is it?

assuming this is event id 5774. this may help. quoted from

Error Event ID 5774

Cause: This behavior may occur when the DNS server that is authoritative for the Active Directory domain name
is not listed on the DNS tab of the Advanced TCP/IP Settings dialog box.
