Hi

I have a problem deploying all the new patches, I can deploy the the DATS to the machines which are of various OS but the ones which use Autoexec.bat on bootup ie Win95 etc keeps writing stuff in it and runs a Virus check on startup which hangs the PC's. I want to disable this and just allow the DAT to sit on the machine. How do I go about this each time I am having to go around the office and rem out this line in Autoexec.bat.

Put a REM on the Scan command in AUTOEXEC.BAT (for Win9x).

Cheers,

AVChap

The version of Management Console is v2.50 running on an NT small business Server.

AVCHAP I have to go around and rem out this line each time a new release of Dat is deployed. Its a nightmare especially when I have 30 pcs to do. I even have to a step by step bootup so that I can bypass this line.

I was just wondering if there was a way that you can deploy these dats without it writing anything in the autoexec.bat.

Verify if you have checked the initial scan at boot in the virusscan panel.

When apply configuration to add the dat to the client you also reapply this setting.
