Hi,

I just deployed an adp at the customer site and they are
having the following problem

I have a custom login screen. When the user puts in the
UserName and password and clicks on "Login" button the
following issue occurs.

Unless the user is a local administrator on the computer
he/she is using, after they type in their login they are
presented with this error:

"The expression OnClick you entered in the event property
setting produced the following error: There was a
problem accessing a property or method of the OLE object."

And the program stops.

I tested this by using a test domain "generic" user.
Giving them local administrator rights, everything worked
fine. Giving them Power User or below in Windows this
message would come up.

Please help

Thanks

Check that you have the latest version of Access or the latest runtime on the client machine. I had a similar problem once and it went away when I downloaded some Office patches.

Also check for Windows updates and make sure you have the right version of MDAC installed.

Thanks for the tip. :)

In this case, the issue was occuring because the Customer had not created user logins for the users in Sql Server.
