I have a custom windows application that I developed in VB.NET 2005. This app uses reports that I have developed in CR XI Developer (Release 2). I am now trying to deploy this application to my end users. What is the best way to do this?

I've tried deploying it via the Publishing tool in .NET 2005, but when I select CR XI Release 2 as a prerequisite, it creates a runtime distributable for Crystal Reports XI Release 2 .NET 2005 Server, which doesn't seem right to me.

I've just created a setup project and added all of the CrystalReports11_5 merge modules that were available. Is there anything else I need to do to get this to work?

Well, after a bit more research, it appears that the Crystal Reports XI Release 2 .NET 2005 Server is, in fact, what I need. If anyone knows any different, please let me know...thanks.

Yes, it was 'simplified' for XI.
It's better to download the latest merge modules from BO and add them manually. That way you get the latest fixes too.
I've found that VS has a nasty habit of adding the wrong version if I let it choose for me.
