In the "new features" list for WSUS 3.0, Microsoft states that WSUS 3.0 supports deploying your own packages. Does anyone know how to do this?

Quote:
"Expand the set of updates with local publishing.
The new API supports publishing applications and third-party updates, allowing the WSUS infrastructure to also distribute updates by other companies."

We were hoping to be able to deploy our own MSI's (that we packaged) with WSUS 3.

Anyone know how to do this?

Interesting. Why not just do it the GPO way? Deploying MSI's is real easy with a GPO.

I can't see WSUS being able to do it as granular as GPOs, since WSUS is machines only, and GPOs can do machines and users.
