We have SMS set up and can advertise software. We have an advertisement set up for MS communicator and it launches the install but, it asks the user to click next a couple of times. How do we make this automatic so the user interaction isn't required?

thanks,

You dont even have to do that. When you do a package from definition and choose the communicator MSI file it automatically creates 6 programs for you. 2 of them are:

per-system unattended & per-user unattended. No need for /-qb. Just select either of the unatended installs.

^ Sorry, what I meant to say was this: When you advertise communicator make sure to select one of the unattended programs and it will do a quiet install.

Hope that helps.

If you were to look at the properties of those programs that get automatically created, you will see the command line I specified in at least one of them.

Not true.

I imagine it could work they way you stated but SMS does not create the command line as you posted it did, below is the command line for per-system unattended:

msiexec.exe /q ALLUSERS=2 /m MSIOF0R5 /i "COMMUNICATOR.MSI"

and per-user unattended:

msiexec.exe ALLUSERS="" /m MSIOF0R5 /i "COMMUNICATOR.MSI
