Hello Experts,
I am new to Mercator and I have some questions like

1.How to deploy and run maps in a Unix environment.
2.How to deploy systems in Event Severs on a Unix environment.

Waiting for your favourable reply...

Thanks
Namara

Hi New Mercator user,
Welcome to this technology. To deploy and run in the Unix environment you need to do following things.

1. Compile the map in desired platform where the map needs to be runned.(For your case compile the code in Sun Solaris)
2. Then analyse and generate the system file(msl).
3. Get the launcher down and deploy(ftp) the code to the concern dir's in binary mode.
4. Get the launchers up and test as per requirement.

Thanks,
Smerk

Hi Namara,

1. Using the integration Flow Designer, Define your map(s) and their relationship ie. data out of map A feeds map B.

2. Define your Unix Server under the Server Option and then assign to your system in the system window

3. Perform a find and replace selecting the path criteria of "Run Time", deselecting "Design Time", you will find your current paths assuming they are pointing to your local drive and replace with your UNIX path where the maps are to actually run.

4. Create a deploy script and very map runtime location and deployment directory on your UNIX Platform.

Good Luck
Bob
