Hi
I'm a new user of Delphi 7 and I installed it locally on an XP client. This works OK.To ease the deployment of Delphi to other clients I tried to build a package using microsoft's Discover program and I used both RIS and Ghost to try and create an image of the workstation. The Delphi 7 software would not run using any of these options - It will only run if I install it manually on the local machine. Ideally I would like to deploy it as a package from the server or run it from a network share but I dont know if this is possible. Help please!

It is illegal to deploy delphi!!

The programs you create with delphi you can sistribute.

I am using Delphi within an education environment for programming courses and am properly licenced. How can it be illegal?

If you are properly licensed use the installation CD.
If you create something with delphi, you can deploy that. The executable files you can deploy and don't need to install delphi on the target machine. Delphi generates stand-alone executables, it is not VB

As for as I know this must be possible. you must create an answer file for all the questions that are asked in the program setup. I don't know how to do this in detail, but maybe you can post this question on the windows 2000 server forum here at tek-tips...
