Without OS to boot up... the only thing comes to my mind is Ghost the system remotely. You should check out the Symantec Ghost 7.5 product. You can boot up the client from a multicast ghost boot disk logging into the Multicast server and push down the OS image. Usually takes no more than 45 mins depends on the image size. Good luck.
Altiris has some great tools to do this. And, the Altiris tools also interoperate with SMS. Rod Trent
