Hello -
I am trying to distribute packages to a server and a workstation using the Advanced feature ("Run Another Program First" of the Program Properties within the Package. I have Package A that goes to a server and Package B that goes to a workstation. I setup the program for Package B to be dependent on Package A. I need to have A apply to the server before B applies the workstation. Both are set at mandatory (As soon as possible). What happens is, Package B goes through and applies to the workstation before Package B goes to the server.
However, when I have two separate packages sent (Package C and Package D) to a server using the proper settings to run C before D, it works just fine.
My conclusion is it appears that if you send the packages to a server, it will work fine. But when you send the packages, to a server and workstation, it doesn't work.
Has anyone experienced this issue or something similar? Are there additional settings or modifications to make this work or is it "that's just the way it is by Microsoft?"
