We have a scenario where a small group (3 phones) have a an appearance of an departmental number. Phones A, B, and C. Extension 5000 is the Departmental extension. It is MARP to Phone A. What the group wants to be able to do is forward x5000 to another phone outside of the group if A, B, and C are unavailable (ie after hours). Can this be done and what is the easiest way to accomplish this?

Thanks in advance.

if it is marped on phone A, they can use phone A for the forwarding.

Call Forward All Calls is not affected by MARP. To CFW a DN, it must meet one of these conditions:

1. it is KEY 00 (or the DN if a 500 set is CFWing) and may appear on other phones.

or

2. it is not KEY 00 but has only one appearance in the system, that being the TN that wants to forward it.

are unavailable (ie after hours).

a menu service in cp or mermail can scan hoildays, wrokdays and time of day and auto froward based on time...

you do not need menus or recording, just using the schedule to transfer to dn x during open hours and dn y post..

btw forwarding the marped set will still work
